Ph.D., Yuxiu Young Scholars Program, Assistant Researcher

Dr. Cheng Luo received his Ph.D. degree from the School of Information and Communication Engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in December 2025. In January 2026, he joined the School of Intelligent Software and Engineering at Nanjing University (NJU), and was selected for the Nanjing University “Yuxiu Youth Scholars Program”.
His research interests include deep learning, native intelligence in wireless communication, end-to-end transmission technologies, simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT), reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), and signal processing.
He has been a key contributor to multiple national and provincial research projects, including Key Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the National Key Research and Development Program, and Key Basic Research Projects in Jiangsu Province. As the first author, he has published 8 papers in top-tier journals and conferences in communications, including IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications (TWC), IEEE Transactions on Communications (TCOM), and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (TVT). He has 5 granted/pending Chinese invention patents. He also contributed to the monograph Native Intelligence in Communication Networks (a title supported by the National Key Publication Program of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan). In addition, he serves as a reviewer for several journals and was recognized as Exemplary Reviewer by IEEE Wireless Communications Letters (WCL) in 2024.
