As an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Nanjing University, he is a selected member of the National Young Talent Program. He has received honors including the ACM China Rising Star Award, the IEEE Technical Committee on Scalable Computing Mid-Career Excellence in Research Award, and the Outstanding Scientist and Technologist of the China Institute of Electronics. His research focuses on the Internet of Things (IoT), data mining, and mobile computing.

He has published over 200 papers in renowned international conferences and journals, including more than 100 in CCF A, such as SIGMOD, VLDB, ICDE, WWW, EuroSys, ATC, NSDI, UbiComp, and INFOCOM. He has been awarded the Best Paper Nomination at INFOCOM, the Distinguished Paper Award at UbiComp, the Best Paper Award at ICNP, and the Runner-up for the Best Paper Award at SECON.

Serving as the Principal Investigator of a National Key R&D Program project, he has led and undertaken more than ten projects, including general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and key projects of joint funds. He holds positions such as Secretary-General of ACM SIGCOMM China, Standing Committee Member of the CCF Special Committee on the Internet of Things, Standing Committee Member of the CCF Special Committee on Network and Data Communication, and Director of the Youth Working Committee of the Jiangsu Computer Society. He has chaired more than ten international conferences, including ISPA, HPCC, ICNP, and COCOON. Additionally, he serves as the Field Editor-in-Chief of the CCF B-class journal Computer Networks and a Young Editorial Board Member of the CCF A-class Chinese journal Acta Electronica Sinica.
